For the Coleslaw
Directions
In a bowl, combine and mix: buttermilk, Onion Butter seasoning, hot sauce and the egg. Place trimmed chicken breasts in the bowl and let marinate for at least 2 hours.
Create hot honey by combining all of the ingredients into a sauce pan and simmer over low heat for 2-3 minutes. Set aside for later.
Make the coleslaw by combining all of the ingredients in a bowl and place in the fridge for later.
When you are ready to fry, place oil in a dutch oven and heat to 350°F.
Place 1 box of Chica Licka Bam Bam in a bowl, then add each chicken breast separately, ensuring that they are fully coated in the mixture.
Carefully place the chicken breast in the oil and fry it for approximately 8 minutes until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Place the fried chicken breast on a wire rack allowing any excess oil to drain, then using a brush, completely coat the chicken with hot honey.
Assemble your sandwich on a toasted brioche bun with pickles and coleslaw.

Could you do this in an air fryer?

Hi Patti, you absolutely can do this in an air fryer! In fact, the directions are on the back of the box. Set your air fryer to 350 degrees, hit the chicken with a spritz of cooking oil and air fry for 8 minutes. File (carefully!) the pieces, hit ‘em with a bit more oil, and air fry for another 6-8 minutes, depending on how golden brown and crunchy you like. Thanks!
