For the tastiest results, seek out free-range eggs with deep yellow yolks, a crusty loaf, drizzle your very best olive oil and use your fingers to season the warm, custardy eggs with The Usual, our original all-purpose blend (and Team Fave).
Ingredients
-
4 large eggs
-
2 slices of your favorite bread
-
Extra-virgin olive oil, for drizzling
-
The Usual seasoning, to taste
Directions
Bring a saucepan of water to a boil over medium-high heat. Use a spoon to gently place the eggs on the bottom of the saucepan.
When the water returns to a boil reduce the heat to maintain a lively simmer for 8 minutes. Remove from heat, drain, and then give the eggs a quick rinse to stop the cooking process.
Peel the eggs. Toast the bread. Slice the eggs and divide between the slices of bread, drizzle with olive oil and season to taste with The Usual.
