Ingredients
-
Pickled jalapeños
-
Mayo
-
Ground beef
-
Thick cut sandwich bread, aka Texas toast
-
Thundering Longhorn
-
Muenster cheese slices
-
Red onion, thinly sliced
-
Pickle slices
Directions
Chop up pickled jalapeños and add to mayo, about 1 tablespoon per ½ cup of mayo. Refrigerate.
Form ground beef balls slightly larger than golf balls.
Toast bread. You can do this on your burger cooking surface or a toaster. Set aside.
Place balls of beef on a ripping hot, well-oiled flat top, griddle, or cast-iron pan and top each with a small sheet of parchment paper.
Using a burger press, smash patty into cooking surface until thin and evenly flat. Remove parchment paper.
Season patties with Thundering Longhorn and flip when bottom is crispy and brown.
Immediately place a slice of cheese on top of patties. Pull patties when cheese is completely melted.
Build from bottom to top: toast, jalapeño mayo, cheesy patties, pickles, onions, toast with more mayo.
Eat immediately.
