Note that you may need to adjust the amount of Sweet Preacher seasoning to the size of your roast. A quarter cup was the perfect amount for our 5 ½ pound shoulder. But the measurement is less important than generously seasoning the entire exterior of the cut with as much seasoning as it will hold.
Ingredients
-
One 5-6 pound bone-in pork shoulder
-
About ¼ cup Sweet Preacher seasoning, plus more to finish
-
3 tablespoons hot sauce, such as Louisiana or Cholula
-
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
Directions
Generously season the entire surface of the pork with Sweet Preacher. Place the pork in the slow cooker, add the hot sauce and vinegar, and cook on low for eight hours, until the meat is meltingly tender.
Use two forks to pull the pork and toss with the cooking juices. Taste and season with additional Sweet Preacher or salt as desired. Pile on soft white buns and serve.
