Chicken Fried Steak with White Gravy

Ingredients

4 cubed beef steaks

Mr. Schnitzel seasoning mix

Oil for frying

2 cups buttermilk
-
2 eggs
-
2 tablespoons hot sauce

¼ cup frying oil (reserved from frying steak)

¼ cup flour
-
4 cups whole milk
-
Salt and pepper to taste
For the steak
For the gravy
Directions
Dredge cubed beef steak in Mr. Schnitzel seasoning.
Dip in wet batter (2 cups buttermilk, 2 eggs, 2 tbsp hot sauce).
Coat again in Mr. Schnitzel.
Heat oil to 350°F and fry steak for 3 minutes per side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
To make the gravy
In the same skillet, keep ¼ cup oil. Whisk in ¼ cup flour over medium heat, stirring for 1 minute.
Add 4 cups whole milk, stirring until thickened (6-8 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.
Serve over chicken fried steak and enjoy!
