Ingredients
-
Sausage links, sliced into bite-sized pieces
-
Yellow mustard
-
Sweet Preacher pork rub seasoning
-
Brown sugar
-
BBQ sauce
-
Butter
Directions
Preheat grill, pellet smoker, or oven to 275°F. Make sure grill is set up for indirect cooking.
In a large mixing bowl, toss sausage slices with a squeeze of mustard and shake of Sweet Preacher.
Place sausage in a pan, mesh is best, and cook over indirect heat for about an hour, stirring everything around every 10 minutes to promote even cooking.
If using a mesh pan, move sausage to a regular pan and add a heavy sprinkle of brown sugar, generous amount of BBQ sauce, butter pats and more Sweet Preacher.
Wrap top of pan with foil and move back to heat, cooking for an additional 15 minutes, then unwrap and allow sauce to tack up for an additional 5–10 minutes.
Pull, cool and serve with toothpicks or pile on a sandwich!
